The court will officially check whether the defendant is Željko Vuković passed away, after which he will eventually issue a decision on the suspension of the court proceedings for murder Srđan Vojičić and attempted murder of a writer Jevrem Brković.
This was announced yesterday in the Podgorica High Court, after the letter from the police, which had the order to detain the accused, was read.
And a lawyer Aleksandra Rogošić she said at the hearing that she received the same information from Vuković's mother.
"Zeljko Vuković's mother called me that he was sick, that's why he didn't come to the previous trial on March 5. I contacted her again by phone, she told me that he died on April 1," said the lawyer.
Puniša Vojičić, the uncle of the late Srđan Vojičić, said, however, that he doubts that Vuković was killed or that he was taken abroad.
He proposed to the court that, in addition to the official letter, it should be ordered to investigate whether Vuković is really dead, where his grave is and whether the body in the grave is really his.
"It seems to me that this is an April Fool's joke. I haven't seen a notice of his death anywhere. We don't know where his grave is. Is it possible to see if Vuković died or was killed? It's very possible that they injected him a little. He is a heroin addict and he also complained that he was beaten in prison," said Vojicic.
He added that he suspects that Vuković has taken refuge in Dubai where, as he claims, those who ordered the beating of Brković "have apartments and billions".
"Still, I think he was killed because they are cleaning up the witnesses, and the little guy said a lot," Vojicic said.
The news recently published in two installments the transcripts of the phone communications of the leaders of the Kavaka clan and the policemen connected to them, in which they claim to know who organized and participated in the attack on the writer, when his bodyguard was physically liquidated.
From the messages sent to the Montenegrin investigators by Europol, it appears that Zvicer received information about this from the Investigation Prison, from his soldier who "interrogated" Vuković behind bars...

The Higher State Prosecutor's Office (VDT), which is in charge of the case, told Vijesti that they are additionally combing Sky messages, after the first tranche they recently received from the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT).
"This prosecution, and since the co-perpetrators of this criminal offense remained unknown, after the publication of the transcripts in the media, requested the submission of the transcripts from the Special State Prosecutor's Office, which transcripts were submitted to us and their analysis was carried out, and the need to inspect other communications that are related to the event in question, which is being reviewed, after which further measures and actions will be taken in order to shed light on the said event and the perpetrators of the criminal act in question", it is written in the answers of the VDT signed by the prosecutor Beautiful Medenica.
In February, "Vijesti" published part of the communication of the escaped police officer Ljub Milović and the head of the Kavac criminal clan Radoja Zvicer, from which it follows that a Podgorica businessman organized an attack on the writer, during which his companion lost his life on October 24, 2006.
At the end of September 2020, the two commented on the relations of that businessman with the assistant director of the Police Administration at the time, stating that they were bad and that with the information they possessed, they could blackmail that private individual and his former bodyguards.
Among the millions of messages exchanged by the criminals is a photographed letter allegedly written by the accused Vuković, in which he describes the event, how much he was paid for it and who paid for it...
That man from Podgorica also claims that he did not know who he was going to beat.
It follows from the communication between Milović and Zvicer that Vuković's statement was "taken" by the accused for serious crimes Mario Milošević.
The head of the bar forwards Milović's correspondence with Milošević, during which they agree to blackmail the Podgorica businessman and his bodyguards, one of whom is a former policeman, with that written confession.
It is written in the transcripts that they planned to blackmail him to force him to "set up" Budvanin for them in Reževići. Marko Ljubiša called Kan and now deceased Milić Minjo Šaković from Podgorica.
"I can beat him up... He paid to be a Jew, so they killed that Vojičić," Zvicer sends.
Milović replies that this is correct and adds that those persons were also associates of the businessman, whom he mentions by last name.
"Yes, he was also there..." replies Zvicer, mentioning the third person of the businessman's former bodyguard.
"Yes, ... I think he shot... But I forgot," states Milović.
Zvicer then explains that the accused Vuković is in the prison room "with ours" and that he made a statement:
"There he is in our room, he has drawn up a statement... Let them ... ask for money," says the head of the bar, giving the businessman's name.
The next hearing is scheduled for April 23.
Waiting in the dark for the arrival...
The Appellate Court of Montenegro issued a decision at its panel session on April 6, 2023, which accepted the appeals of the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica and the defense attorney of the accused Željko Vuković and annulled the verdict of the Higher Court in Podgorica and returned the case to the first instance court for a retrial.
By the judgment of the High Court, the accused Vuković was found guilty of the crime of attempted murder in complicity under Article 143 in connection with Article 20 and Article 23 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, for which he was sentenced to three years and six months in prison.
The indictment stated that Željko Vuković, at around 21,50:24 on October 2006, XNUMX, together with two other people, deliberately tried to kill several people.
"The defendant with two unknown persons, armed with a gun and metal bars, came to Ulica... where he hid with them in the dark, waiting for the arrival of the injured Brković and Vojičić, who was in charge of his security, knowing that they had to come to that place because the injured Brković lives there. At the moment when they arrived in an 'Audi A6' vehicle, the defendant Vuković, together with an unknown person, attacked Brković with bars, by swinging and hooking him on the head, but he was prevented from further attack because Brković managed to snatch the bar from him and knocked him down, and during that time the unidentified person was hitting him in the head and body with a metal rod. When Vojičić went to help Brković, another unknown person immediately next to Vojičić fired two shots from a pistol of an unknown brand, which resulted in death," the prosecutor's document states.
