On March 12, Zoran Lazović wrote to the Chief Special Prosecutor (GST) Vladimir Novović that he had heard that he was going to be arrested, and told him that he would not run away anywhere and that it was enough to call him.
This is what one of his defense attorneys, lawyer Zoran Piperović, said last night, after the hearing of the former police officer.

Earlier yesterday, Lazović and former chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnić were brought to the building of the Podgorica High Court.
Investigating judge Goran Šćepanović, after hearing Lazović, will also hear Katnić and decide on the request of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) to remand them in custody for up to 30 days.
"I submitted the letter that Zoran Lazović sent to GST Novović on March 12 of this year, in which he says: 'I hear that I'm going to be arrested, chief special prosecutor, I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, there's no need to make circuses, just tell me when I'm coming'... Novović received that letter in the e-mail," said Piperović.
He added that Lazović could have influenced the witnesses both before and after that, but he did not do so.
"And now they need someone who is inaccessible to state authorities, and whom they consider to be their accomplice, to look for him on Mars and Jupiter, and not say how," said Piperović.
He also read to the journalists how the special prosecutor explained the danger that Lazović will escape if he is not remanded in custody: "It is easier for the defendant to give up his family ties than to face a long prison sentence. I read this to the judge twice as well. It is not based on anything personal attitude and personal projection. The prosecutor knows that it is easier for him, is cited as the main reason for ordering Lazović's detention. And not only is it personal projection... Imagine that he knows that it is more comfortable for Lazović to give up his grandchildren. , wife and relatives than to be in prison for one, two, three, five or 55 years," he said.
He pointed out that, as a circumstance, which should be objective, he had not seen it yet...
Piperović claims that Lazović is not "even indirectly" on Skaj.
"The logical illogicalities that they had following the communication implied to create a story that would exhaust the criminal justice review of someone for 15, 20 seconds, but these are serious matters. Imagine a man who is an assistant director of police, who is the head of the chief special prosecutor and to his prosecutor Čađenović, so he put his son as a member of the criminal organization," said Piperović.
He claims that there is no evidence for what they are accusing Lazović of.
He explained that the judge will make a decision after hearing the second suspect, Katnić.
Piperović also pointed out that in the decision rejecting their request for exemption, it was "explained" to them that the process for detaining and ordering custody is not the same.

Piperović said that he told the investigating judge, Goran Šćepanović: "Either be a judge with a toga, or respect that toga, or be someone whom everyone likes to be a state judge."
"Maybe I was a little unpleasant, but I didn't know how to appeal to his conscience, and he is a good boy. Be a judge Šćepanović from Zagarač, don't be influenced by Đuro, Pero or anyone. Make a decision, but let it be yours, don't let it be someone else's," Piperović said.
Lazović's second defense attorney, lawyer Stefan Jovanović, said that the reason for the detention was not stated in the detention decision, and that they complained because of the incorrectly worded provision.
"As far as the decision is concerned, the procedure is such that the investigating judge will first hear the other defendant, and after that he will make a decision, that is, act in one way or another," said Jovanović.
He also cited the allegations of the letter that, as they claim, Lazović sent to Novović, in which he wrote to him "that he was told that a spectacular arrest was about to be made."

After police officers started searching the property at dawn yesterday in order to possibly find traces of criminal acts, the SDT, headed by Vladimir Novović, announced what kind of action it was.

A little later, the Police Administration announced that Katnić and Lazović had been arrested in the "Alfa" case.
