Serbian citizen SD (47), who is wanted by Interpol in Belgrade, was arrested at the Sitnica border crossing, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.

He was handcuffed by officers of the Border Police Sector, after communication between NCB Interpol Podgorica and NCB Interpol Belgrade.

"Today, SD (47), a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, who was wanted on an international warrant issued by the NCB Interpol Belgrade, was deprived of his liberty on his way out of Montenegro, for the purpose of conducting criminal proceedings before the competent authorities of the Republic of Serbia, on suspicion of having committed a criminal the offense of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, for which a prison sentence of up to 12 years is prescribed.
