Police in Podgorica arrested BP (36) on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of attempted murder combined with the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosive materials, according to a statement from the Police Administration (UP).
"The suspect committed the above-mentioned criminal offense by approaching the victim, who was staying in a restaurant, and demanded a physical confrontation, hitting him in the head area. At the moment when the victim refused, he took out a gun of an unknown brand , which he kept with him without a permit and documentation for possession of the same, and fired at least one shot in the direction of the injured person, who managed to move away from the said object," the statement reads.
The UP emphasized that, acting on the order of the High Court in Podgorica, a search was carried out of the apartment and other premises used by BP in Podgorica, "and on that occasion one anti-aircraft bullet and 27 pieces of rifle ammunition were found."
According to them, the prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was aware of the incident.
