The trial of the defendants Dražen P. Vojvodić and Novica G. Đikanović, accused of the brutal murder of Vidak Vujović, began today in the High Court in Podgorica.
The defendant, Dražen Vojvodić, denied the allegations in the indictment, stating that he was on good terms with Vujović and that he helped him financially.
He gave a detailed defense before the criminal panel of judge Veljko Radovanović.
"I absolutely never had any disagreements with the now deceased Vujović, nor do I have anything to do with this event that is being blamed on me, I never had any dealings with him. I knew the deceased Vujović quite well. We were friends, I lent him money. The last we met when he asked me to transfer him from the Security Center to Donja Gorica, where he previously lived. When I transferred him, I continued my duties, I stopped by the pharmacy because I had a broken leg and then I went to Stari Aerodrom", said the accused Vojvodić in his defence.
He explained that his safety was threatened for a long time and that he carried a gun without a license that was always loaded with ten bullets. He added that he was wounded twice and kidnapped once.
"During that period, I gave my friend Novica a gun for safekeeping, because when I see my family I don't carry it. At that time, I had to take my daughter to Cetinje for training and bring her back. When I finished my duties, I met Novica and took a gun," said the defendant. When I was with Novica, I encountered a guy with whom he had a problem four years ago. He pulled a gun on me. His name is Stefan Milić Then, after that, I sent a message to Slađana Jovović and told her that her friend tried to kill me again. She called me after a while and asked me to see you behind "Delta" and we talked about this case with Milić. said the accused Vojvodić.
He said that he was in an emotional relationship with Jovović and that he trusted her, until the first conflict with Milić happened.
"I found out about the death of Vujović from the portal. Before that, his sister called me and asked where he was. I said I don't know. She contacted me again, told me what happened. I asked her when the funeral was, so I could attend". He added that he was informed by a person that the police were looking for him at the home of a woman who lives in Cetinje with their children.
"I left from Stari Aerodrom. I called lawyer Lekić and said that I would solve it myself, thinking that the police were calling me because of the situation with Stefano Milić. However, when I came to the roundabout, the police stopped me. I thought it was because of the traffic, talking on the phone. I hid the gun in the vehicle at the time, the police found it," said Vojvodic.
The indictment stated that on March 31, 03, in the town of Šteke, in Podgorica, they killed Vujović Vidak in a treacherous and cruel manner, in a way that, according to a previous agreement, they lured the injured party to an uninhabited part of the Šteke settlement, in an inaccessible place.
So that the defendant Vojvodić Dražen, using their previous acquaintance, drove him to the scene in a "VW Golf V" vehicle, and when the victim got out of the vehicle, he fired at least four projectiles from a "CZ M57" pistol in the same direction. of which he was hit by four projectiles. And because between the four projectiles fired, the injured Vujović Vidak was alive and told the defendant "don't", during which time he suffered severe suffering and severe pain, which the defendant Vojvodić did not do, but continued to fire projectiles at the injured party. During that time, the defendant Đikanović Novica was on the spot and observed everything, after which the defendant Vojvodić fired a projectile that caused fatal injuries to the victim, resulting in his death. After that, together with the defendant Đikanović, he poured gasoline and set fire to the lifeless body of the injured Vujović Vidak, and then they left the scene together. On April 12, 04, the defendant Đikanović Novica, in his family home, in Farmaci, Podgorica, kept seven pieces of pistol ammunition without the approval of the competent authority.
The defendant Vojvodić committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder under Article 144 paragraph 1 point I in connection with Article 23 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro in conjunction with the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances under Article 403 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, and the defendant Đikanović the crime of aggravated murder from Article 144 paragraph 1 point 1 in connection with Article 23 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro and the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances from Article 403 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro.
