The President of the Council of Judges, Katarina Padalica, said at a hearing in the High Court in Podgorica today that she will pass a decision that will suspend the court proceedings against Željko M. Vuković from Podgorica, accused of the murder of Srđan Vojičić and the attempted murder of writer Jevrem Brković on October 24, 2006. , lawyer Aleksandra Rogošić, the defense attorney for the defendant Vuković, confirmed to "Vijesta".
The court, said Rogošić, obtained from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) proof, an extract from the death register and a confirmation from the Clinical Center of Montenegro that Vuković died on April 1.
Vuković was charged that in October 2006, around 21,50:8 p.m., in Ulica Obala Ribnica in front of number XNUMX in Podgorica, with two other persons, according to a previous agreement, he deliberately tried to kill several people.
The defendant, together with two unknown persons, armed with a gun and metal rods, came to number 8, where he hid with them in the dark, waiting for the arrival of Brković and Vojičić, who was in charge of his security, knowing that they had to come to that place because Brković was there lives.
At the moment when they arrived in the "Audi A6" vehicle, the defendant Vuković, together with an unknown person, attacked Brković with bars, by swinging and hooking him on the head, but he was prevented from further attack because Brković managed to snatch the bar from him and to knock him down, and during that time the unidentified person was hitting him in the head and body with a metal rod.
When Vojičić went to help Brković, another unknown person immediately fired two shots at Vojičić, from a pistol of an unknown brand, which resulted in his death. According to the indictment, the defendant Vuković committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder as a co-perpetrator.
