Montenegro's airports served two million passengers from January 1 to Saturday.
The Deputy Executive Director of the Airport, Petar Radulović, said that such a result was expected considering that during August, Podgorica was connected with up to 40 destinations, and Tivat with up to 39 destinations.
As reported by ACG, he explained that, in total, 1,28 million passengers have been served at the Podgorica airport to date, while 730,72 thousand passengers have been served at the Tivat airport.
"That is 34 percent more compared to last year, that is, to about 92 percent of the results from 2019," said Radulović.
According to him, in this context, the success of Podgorica Airport must be singled out, where 35 percent more passengers were served than last year, i.e. 28 percent more than in 2019.
"On the other hand, Tivat Airport is 32 percent better compared to last year, i.e. 61 percent of the results from 2019. In addition, it is also important that we have a number of new partners at the existing destinations in both Podgorica and Tivat," noted Radulović.
When it comes to the participation of countries in passenger traffic at airports, Serbia and Turkey stand out, followed by Poland and Austria, as well as Great Britain and Germany.
