The construction of the promenade from Budva to Bečići will not start next year either, the long-announced public garages to solve the problem of lack of parking spaces in the city center are not on the list, nor will a fountain be built in front of the old city ramparts, nor will the complete reconstruction of the city swimming pool on Pisana be realized.
This is written in the drafts of the program of investment activities and spatial arrangement of the Municipality of Budva, which will be before the councilors of the Municipal Assembly by the end of the year.
As in all previous years, the municipality remained faithful to the construction and reconstruction of roads, sports and children's playgrounds as key projects that will be implemented in the coming year.
After the dry year of 2023, which will be remembered for the smallest number of realized investments, and the fact that the bulk of the money remained unused, no less than 20 million euros are planned for investment projects, as well as planning and land acquisition, for the next year .
According to the investment activities program for 2024, as stated in the document that "Vijesti" had access to, 362 thousand euros are foreseen for the construction, reconstruction and equipping of sports fields in the Budva area, of which 352 thousand relate to construction. For the swimming pool on Pisa in front of the old city ramparts, ten thousand euros are planned for the design, while 208 thousand euros are planned for the purchase of equipment for the Sports and Recreation Center, which includes an indoor pool.
When it comes to health, educational and cultural institutions, the Municipality plans to spend a little more than 700 thousand euros next year - 205 thousand euros for equipping the Health Center, 362 thousand euros for educational institutions, and for the Day Center for children and youth with developmental disabilities 103 thousand euros are planned, while 50 thousand euros will be spent on cultural facilities.
EUR 350 is planned for projects planned in the areas of local communities.
When it comes to the construction of the fountain in the contact zone of the Old Town, which was announced years ago, "funds of 495.000 euros are needed, of which 2024 are planned in 11.000." The project is planned to be implemented over several years," the document says.
And when it comes to public companies, the Municipality plans to acquire equipment worth 100 thousand euros for Radio Television Budva, 300 thousand euros are planned for the Municipal Company, while 250 thousand euros are allocated for Water and Sewerage and the company Parking Service.
Out of the planned 20,3 million euros, 17,2 million euros is the difficult Spatial Development Program of the municipality of Budva, and as a key project that has been promoted for years now is the reconstruction of the main city streets - 22. Novembar and Mediteranska Street, for which three million euros are planned .

One of the more significant projects is the construction of storm sewerage in the inner city core - the road that passes by the Red Building and the Veterans Buildings, for which EUR 590 has been allocated.
Among the major investments is certainly the regulation of the Bečićka River, for which EUR 1,1 million is planned, and the construction of the traffic road on Šipkovo Karst in Pržno, worth two million euros, and the street in Blizikuće, for which EUR 1,3 million is planned, and EUR 1,4 million euros for the construction of a street along the Slatava stream in Buljarica. 620 euros are planned for the rehabilitation of existing roads, while 160 euros are planned for the rehabilitation of sidewalks. He planned 69 thousand euros for access paths and ramps for people with disabilities, while 933 thousand euros were earmarked for expropriation of land in the territory of the municipality of Budva.
Since the beginning of the construction of the Budva - Bečići promenade, which was one of the key projects with which the coalition of parties of the former Democratic Front won the pre-election program, there is nothing next year. It is planned to allocate 960 euros, of which 800 for design and 160 for project audit.
It remains to be seen whether the investment program will be realized, or whether it will remain just a wish list like this year's.
