The Post of Montenegro received a negative auditor's opinion on the financial statements for last year, which is the third consecutive negative auditor's opinion for this state-owned enterprise, said to "Vijesta" a member of the Board of Directors, Stojan Sjekloća, who has publicly warned against questionable business decisions on several occasions. company management.
The company has not yet published this audit report, and according to the financial report last year, they made a profit of 126 thousand euros.
Sjekloća stated that the session of the Board of Directors on April 5, where the draft of the auditor's report was discussed with emphasis on the negative opinion on the management's financial report for 2023, was interrupted, as well as that there were attempts by members of the management to pressure the auditor to change her opinion .
"Despite all efforts, often unprofessional, for the auditor to change the negative opinion, it was officially delivered to the Post Office on April 12," said Sjekloća.
As he states, there are three grounds for a negative opinion - the fact that in the financial statements, land and buildings, regardless of the form of ownership, are shown as the company's assets, which does not correspond to the factual situation, that the management of the Post Office failed to evaluate real estate and equipment in accordance with with international standards because the last time it was done in 2010, as well as because the revaluation value of real estate, plant and equipment was not shown in the company's accounting records as of 31/12/2023.
"This is the third consecutive negative opinion of the auditing company MV Konsalting, which is a confirmation that the situation in the Post of Montenegro is not nearly as 'rosy' as the top management and the president of the Board of Directors try to portray it in their pre-prepared announcements. In addition to what was stated in the auditor's report, there are other numerous problems for which the top management bears responsibility - the first credit debt in the history of the Post of nearly two million euros as well as its spending method, enormous employment, bad personnel policy accompanied by nepotism and dubious diplomas, a multiple increase disciplinary and judicial processes...", Sjekloća said.
He states that the number of lawsuits filed by workers against the company has increased to 146.

Public procurement exceeded half a million
Sjekloća said that even in 2023, the list of direct purchases will exceed half a million euros.
"Mostly, these purchases relate to numerous painting, repairs, maintenance, to the hiring of others to mow green areas, in addition to Posta's mower-trimmers whose whereabouts are unknown."
