The first training module was held in Nikšić as part of the "Development of a cross-border tourist destination" program, which was attended by representatives of tourist organizations and business entities dealing with tourism from the municipalities of Nikšić, Šavnik, Žabljak, Pljevlja, Prijepolje, Nova Varoš, Sjenica and Novi Pazar.
The training was held as part of the project "Cross-border route - Green Eyes (RESET)", which is implemented by the Municipality of Nikšić in partnership with the Regional Tourist Organization of Sandžak, and in cooperation with the Tourist Organization of Nikšić. The topic of the first module was "Improving tourist destinations and tourism through innovation and digital transformation".
"A meeting of partners in the project was also held, where members of the project team discussed the realized and future activities of the project. The goal of the project is aimed at increasing the tourist attractiveness of the program area through the creation of a new tourist route between Nikšić and Novi Pazar and strengthening the capacities of tourist providers in the eight municipalities of the program area," the press release states.
The project lasts 24 months, and its value is almost 180 thousand. The European Union finances 77 percent of the funds, and the project partners the rest.
