The Chamber of Commerce (PKCG), after almost a lifetime, has achieved the reputation of a modern business association with a recognizable reputation in the domestic and international community, which the economy trusts, and institutions recognize as a partner, announced its president, Nina Drakić.
At the ceremony marking 96 years of successful work of that business association, which was held in the Music Center of Montenegro in the presence of numerous dignitaries, she recalled the results achieved in the previous year, which show the dedication of employees and businessmen who, through their activities in the association's committees and through other forms organized in the Chamber contribute to the improvement of the business environment.
Drakić, as announced by the PKCG, spoke about activities to improve the normative framework for business operations, the creation of analyzes that represent a comprehensive overview of Montenegrin, regional and global economic trends, the creation of assumptions for the participation of Montenegrin companies in NATO procurement, the organization of numerous gatherings such as the Conference on economy and Bielopolska Business Forum, implementation of international projects, implementation of educational activities, fair presentation of our companies and connecting with potential partners at business forums, as well as the campaign "Strength is in all of us" and other activities.
According to her, the Montenegrin economy has recorded evident progress and new employment, and enviable results have been achieved in tourism, agriculture, energy, transport, trade and industrial production.
"It did not come by itself, nor was it possible to achieve it in one year. "Business successes are always the result of long-term and well-designed work in which whole teams participate under the auspices of the institution," said Drakić.
She emphasized that the primary task of PKCG is strengthening economic activity, raising the level of competitiveness, rapid digitalization and encouraging innovation, and accelerating the process of European integration while entering the single market.
"The ability and credibility of the Chamber, our partnership with state institutions and willingness to hear the voice of businessmen, actively contribute to overcoming challenges and returning to the paths of economic and social prosperity. I am sure that we can count on each other more in the coming period, so that we can work together for the good and progress of our economy and Montenegro", said Drakić.
The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, also addressed a number of distinguished dignitaries, who announced that the Montenegrin economy needs fundamental, systemic reforms and that now is the time to step into a period of accelerated growth, which requires a more efficient administration that will be the driving force behind the improvement of the investment cycle. .
According to him, it is the task of the executive authorities to ensure a safe business environment, and in that process it is important to fundamentally involve representatives of the business community, so that we can work together to find the best and sustainable solutions.
"Through this approach, the Chamber will further strengthen its position, but also help state institutions to propose fair laws and lead a sustainable economic policy, because we must always keep in mind that we are all committed to the same task, the improvement of our economy and society as a whole," he added. is Milatović.
He emphasized that more efficient management of state-owned enterprises is necessary, for which the professionalization of the management structure is a prerequisite, so that their work is directed towards sustainable, efficient and socially useful operations.
Also, in order to ensure easier access to financial resources, Milatović assessed that it is necessary to establish a credit-guarantee fund as soon as possible, which is especially important for small and micro enterprises that form the backbone of our economy.
"Additional attention to our economy is necessary, especially in the light of new international instabilities, and therefore it is important to speed up the formation of oil and commodity reserves in order to create additional economic resistance in the period to come," concluded Milatović.
