At today's session, which was presided over by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, the Government approved the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Inspection Supervision.
The law created the necessary mechanisms that will ensure comprehensive, uniform, proportionate and efficient behavior of inspectors, professionalism and quality of work of inspection bodies, which is of extreme importance for the subjects of supervision in terms of their legal security. The purpose of this Law is to eliminate all doubts and ambiguities that this regulation creates for citizens and the economy, in the procedures for exercising their rights, especially bearing in mind the upcoming period in which the scope of inspections will be increased in all areas. Competent authorities for inspection supervision are prescribed, that is, who is considered an inspection authority. Also, this law stipulates that the Government establishes a Coordinating Body for harmonizing and monitoring inspections," the Government announced.
The Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law, which prescribes the provisions on inspection supervision, has been established.
"With this law, in order to comply with the Law on Inspection Supervision, amendments are made to the law which prescribes that inspection supervision tasks in the areas regulated by those laws are performed by the administrative body competent for inspection supervision tasks, in the manner prescribed for the performance of inspection supervision the competent inspection, i.e. the inspector for a specific administrative area. Namely, depending on the context of the law, it is proposed that the inspection be carried out by inspectors for the area governed by the specific law. After the adoption of this Bill and the Bill on Amendments to the Law on inspection supervision, the amendment of the Regulation on the organization and mode of operation of the state administration will be started in such a way that competent ministries and administrative bodies will take over inspections, i.e. inspectors for specific administrative areas", announced the Government.
