On April 10, ACG announced a public competition for the election of the executive director, which was closed on Thursday. The state-owned company did not respond to "Vijesti" questions about how many applications were received and when the executive director will be selected.

The executive director's term of office is four years, and candidates from foreign countries could also apply for the competition.

"In addition to the general conditions stipulated by the Labor Law, the candidate must also meet the following conditions: higher education (VII-1 degree of vocational education); to have five years of work experience in management; knowledge of the English language - intermediate level", it is desirable, as they said, that the candidate has experience in the field of air transport, economics or business management and that he "has high ethical standards and integrity", it was specified, among other things, in the competition.

Vladan Drašković was appointed for the first time as acting executive director of ACG in August 2022, and one month later he assumed the position in full capacity, which he held until March 27, when the Board of Directors, which he chaired, Eldin Dobardzic sacked due to the "disappearance" of half a million euros. Drašković was reproached for signing and approving a payment in the amount of around 550.000 euros to a British company from which ACG bought new self-propelled stairs for boarding passengers on planes for Tivat Airport and Podgorica Airport last year. ACG paid this money to the wrong account, because no one had previously checked whether it was the account of the company with whom they agreed to deliver the equipment. Meanwhile, the money was returned to the company's account, which was officially announced by the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović.

The dismissal of Drašković came a day before the Government decided to dismiss the then Board of Directors and appoint a new one. Radulović said that he was taken aback by the information that Drašković was dismissed and that this decision to "behead ACG the day before the new board arrives is a really shameful thing".

After the Government elected a new Board of Directors chaired by Jelena Maraš, that board unanimously returned Drašković to the position of acting director.

"Petar Radulović, who until now was acting executive director, remains in the position of deputy executive director of Aerodrom Montenegro. The board of directors believes that, at this moment, the most important thing is that the airports of Montenegro function efficiently and stably during the summer season, among other things, considering the increase in the number of passengers compared to 2019", the announcement states.

The Airport of Montenegro added that from January 1 to April 7, 2024, they served over 360 passengers, which they said was 27 percent more than the same period in 2019.

Hajduković's assistant post after the dismissal of Drašković

Hajduković came to Aerodrome as a former director Danilo Orlandić as a staff member of the DPS, which was confirmed by the "News" from several sources, and he performed the function of assistant director.

After the Board of Directors led by Dobardžić dismissed Drašković, he appointed Hajduković as director of commercial affairs. That position was held by Drašković before he was elected as executive director.
