The President of the Municipal Assembly (SO) Bar, Branislav Nenezić, convened the collegium of the President of the Assembly for Tuesday, the topic of which is the upcoming meeting of councilors of the SO Bar with representatives of the competent ministry and companies that signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the potential construction of the LNG terminal and Thermal Power Plant Bar.
This was announced by Nenezić and he added that he and the Minister of Energy and Mining in the Government of Montenegro, Saša Mujović, agreed that on May 9, a meeting of the councilors of the SO Bar would be held with Minister Mujović and representatives of the companies 'Enerflex Energy Systems', 'Olin Wethington' and 'Wethington Energy Innovation', which are signatories to the Memorandum of Cooperation from 2023, which plans to build an LNG terminal in the Port of Bar.
"This was agreed upon after last week's session of the SO Bar, where one of the conclusions of the councilors in the local parliament was related to this project. We emphasize the fact that this is an extremely important issue for the future development of our city. The leaders of the line ministry and companies will be visiting Bar and AD 'Luka Bar' in the period from May 8 to 10," said Nenezić.
In this way, according to his words, they will get the opportunity to hear the arguments of all interested parties, while, as before, they remain deeply committed to the idea that in this process, as in all similar processes, the laws of the state of Montenegro and standards in the field of protection must be respected environment.
