Next week, the main committee of the Bosniak Party will discuss the opposition's offer for the minority parties to choose a model by which they would form a government without the DPS.

They will then discuss the continuation of cooperation with the ruling party, from whose representative Duško Marković they expect at least one department in the executive branch. And the coalition "Albanians resolutely" has not yet responded to the opposition's offer because, they claim, they did not receive it.

The civil opposition, SDP, Ključ and the Democrats previously offered minorities the position of mandate holder, with the Democratic Front's willingness to support such a government in the Assembly. Two days ago, they came out with a new proposal, offering the minorities to form a government on their own so that the DPS would finally be dispossessed.

"The opposition's offer is very correct and it is the first opportunity for minorities to form a government. No one gives anything to the BS, we demand what belongs to us, because no one can form the government without us," said Orhan Šahmanović, a member of the Main Board of the BS, to "Vijesta".

His party, which won two mandates in the parliament, is yet to declare its alternatives - joining the DPS government or the opposition. Šahmanović says that he is in favor of the opposition. So far, he says, he has spoken with one of the leaders of the DF, Nebojša Medojević, the presidents of the Democrats and the SNP, Aleks Bečić and Srđan Milić.

"Today I have to meet with Žarko Rakčević (URA) and Miodrag Lekić (Demos). I am not afraid of cooperation with the opposition because I had a very fair relationship with the SDP and the SNP in the local government. We have to build a civil society in Montenegro because divisions lead nowhere," said the BS official.

Force President Nazif Cungu did not want to comment on the opposition's new offer regarding the formation of the Government, which offers the minority parties the entire executive power. "I only received the first offer yesterday, I don't have anything official about this new one, so I can't comment. In any case, we will decide on the party bodies," Cungu told "Vijesta".

Bardhi: Until when should we save the country without drowning

The leader of the Democratic Union of Albanians and former MP Mehmet Bardhi said that the fact that the Albanian people in Montenegro has only one MP is a consequence of the insincere policies of the government and the opposition. "They are united only when they need to be against the Albanians. This was also the case during the adoption of the electoral law, which is discriminatory against Albanians in Montenegro," said Bardhi to "Vijesta".

He considers the opposition's offer to the minorities to form the government unrealistic. "According to all the polls, the Orthodox community in Montenegro has the greatest repulsion of the minorities towards the Albanians. And now someone is offering us the position of prime minister. This is dishonest because they would like to annul the recognition of Kosovo and perhaps annul the statehood of Montenegro and annex it to Serbia", said Bardhi.

He stated that the DPS did not respect the agreements either. "The only democratic elections, if they can be called that, were in December 1990. Everything after that was a classic spin on the offer to the voters, who did not choose programs but bare interest," he said.

He recalled that on September 1, 1997, the opposition reached an agreement with the DPS.

"Almost nothing has been respected since that agreement. Later, we had the seventh battalions, which scared us. At the referendum, we cast decisive votes for independence, but lost the acquired rights. So, until when should we save Montenegro, so that we don't drown. What would they do without us, that's why I ask them how they feel that the Albanians have only one MP and they used to have four", asked Bardhi.
