In an open letter, the Montenegrin scientist Dragan Hajduković called on the Albanian, Bosniak and Croat representatives in the new Parliament of Montenegro to insist that a Government of National Unity and Salvation be formed in Montenegro.
"I am asking you to unwaveringly insist on the Government of National Unity and Salvation, as the best solution for Montenegro. In the new Government of 24 members, your minority parties should have one third of the ministers (eight out of 24), including three Deputy Prime Ministers (or two vice-presidents and the Prime Minister).To be more specific, I propose three positions in the Government for Albanians, three for Bosniaks and two for Croats. Such a large number of ministers from your ranks is necessary because this is the only way you can ensure stability and be a successful factor in reducing tensions and reconciliation in a very mixed Government. The remaining two-thirds of seats should be distributed as follows: the current opposition (Democratic Front, Ključ, Democrats and SDP) one-third plus one ministerial seat (nine out of 24) and DPS+SD one-third minus one seat (seven of 24). This would respect the will of the citizens who, not counting your minority parties, gave victory to the opposition by a score of 39:38. When forming the Government, the principle must be respected that the new Government cannot include people who were members of the Government of Eight in the past or more years. In the Government of National Unity and Salvation, the most important decisions for economic development and preservation of the economy and territory should be made by a two-thirds majority," Hajduković emphasized in the letter.
He added that it is a coincidence that the minority MPs are currently the most powerful MPs in the Parliament of Montenegro.
"And I also said that you are the most powerful people in Montenegro, more powerful than the most powerful leaders of the government and the opposition. I don't know if you are aware of this, but neither in talks with the government nor in talks with the opposition are you the weaker party; on the contrary, you are stronger foreign because you do not depend on them but they on you. Please use your power for the progress of Montenegro and the well-being of the people from whom you come, to guide the country on the path of revival and it is not an exaggeration to say that you will be remembered in history as the saviors of Montenegro," it is stated. in Hajduković's letter.
He claims that the Government of National Unity is currently the most important.
"Since the Government of National Unity and Salvation is currently the most important, without going into details I will only mention two other foundations of the revival of Montenegro that we must fight for. Hajduković also points out that the fate of Montenegro is in the hands of representatives from the ranks of Albanians, Bosniaks and Croats.
