The President of the Assembly Ranko Krivokapić said that for important functions, such as the position of the head of the Police Directorate, agreement must be reached within the ruling coalition, stating that consultations on the matter are ongoing. "The procedure is clear, the Minister of Internal Affairs proposes. For such important functions, agreement must be reached within the coalition, this applies to all Ministries and key positions in the security sector. Consultations are ongoing and we will see what the final agreement will be," Krivokapić told reporters after the Siguran Kompas awards. According to him, the parliament must present its point of view, but he would not want to interfere in the competence of those to whom the issue of the election of the police chief belongs. Krivokapić said that there was no discussion about the dismissal of the head of the National Security Agency, Vladan Joković. We need to find the best solutions, i.e. people who will carry the responsibilities", he stated.

They are a state-building part of this country, and that attempt to break up Montenegro in that way is still on stage," said Krivokapić. He stated that people like Health Minister Miodrag Radunović, who are Serbs by personal choice, should be praised. "But they know that their homeland is Montenegro and they know what loyalty to their country is".
