Our country has a clear and unequivocal commitment to the country's pro-Western orientation and will maintain that course even after the parliamentary elections on June 11, said Danijel Živković, acting president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the leader of the "Together" coalition list in the next elections.
As DPS states in the announcement, he said this during a joint meeting of representatives of the opposition and minority parties with US Senators Chris Murphy and Gary Peters.
"The interlocutors agreed that Montenegro has a place in the European Union and that this can only be achieved by continuing to persist in preserving stability and continuing to move on the European and Euro-Atlantic course," the statement added.
It is stated that they concluded that the wise decisions of membership in NATO, as well as a clear determination of belonging to the civilizational values of the modern world, are something on which Montenegro is based and in which it will always have the unequivocal support of its American partners.
