The final results of the parliamentary elections will not be announced within the legal deadline, on June 26, announced the president of the SEC, Nikola Mugoša, stating that the main reason is that some election participants waited for the last deadlines to submit objections, mostly by mail.

"Taking into account the dynamics of submitting objections to the work of the municipal election commissions and the SEC, we can now conclude with certainty that on the 26th we will not have the final results of the elections determined yet," Mugoša told Cne Gora Television.

According to him, the fact that we are still waiting for the final results is not the fault of the election administration.

Certain political entities, as stated by Mugoša, decided to wait for the last deadline to submit objections to election commissions.

"This determination that the applicants use the right to deliver by mail greatly affects the dynamics of submitting objections and determines the election administration that it cannot meet all the deadlines defined by the calendar," Mugoša explained.

Election participants have the right to appeal the decisions of the SEC to the Constitutional Court, and so far only one voter's appeal has been addressed to this court, which the judges will rule on tomorrow, RTCG Portal reports.

Mugoša said that the date of the announcement of the final results of the parliamentary elections will depend on when and how many appeals will reach the Constitutional Court, but that they will certainly not wait for months, as was the case with the elections in the capital.

"I would not bid on the date, because it depends on several factors, so the exact date cannot be estimated. Only in contrast to that situation, we have a functional Constitutional Court, which has a quorum for work and decision-making", emphasized Mugoša.

When the Constitutional Court decides on all appeals on the electoral process, the SEC will be able to announce the final results, from which the 15-day deadline for the constitution of the Assembly will begin.

From that moment, the head of state has a month to consult with the parliamentary parties, after which he proposes a representative who, within 90 days, should assemble the cabinet and the work program of the future executive power.
