The Europe now movement announced that coalitions and parties with which they share similar priorities and principles will be invited to form a government immediately after the announcement of the final election results.
"Movement Europe now understands the interest of the general public in the process of forming the 44th government, as well as the need for political subjects to communicate their views on the matter. However, we remind you that the final results of the parliamentary elections have not yet been announced, nor have formal negotiations with interested political parties begun. As we have announced several times, Europe now! will initiate talks primarily with those coalitions and parties with which we share similar priorities and principles, and the invitation to an agreement will be sent immediately after the announcement of the final election results. On the other hand, we expect from potential partners a responsible and an honest attitude towards the process of forming the government, which also implies respect for the basic principles of future cooperation, including the generally accepted democratic principle that the subject with the best election result, to whom the citizens gave the greatest trust, should also be the key holder of power," the statement of the Movement Europe now states. .
They also state that "they will not give up their main priorities".
"And these are economic reforms that will improve the standard of citizens, the acceleration of European integration and the uncompromising fight against organized crime and corruption. These priorities can only be achieved by a stable and competent government, which will be able to deliver the promised results. In this sense, satisfaction particular interests and insisting on party calculations is not and cannot be acceptable to our Movement. We are quite sure that all the actors of the new parliament have received a clear message from the citizens, who demand commitment and clear results, and not political exaggerations that potentially lead to new elections, which would represent more an irrational step towards instability and a betrayal of the electoral will".
They also say that their "goal is clear".
"We want the government, which we will lead, to be the one that will enable a better life for everyone in Montenegro and that will finally complete the process of European integration, which will fulfill the unequivocal determination of the citizens that our country will become the first next member of the EU. We invite all parliamentary parties that, whether they are in power or in the opposition, they make their appropriate contribution to those goals and thus participate in the historic success of our country," the announcement concludes.
