The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Danijela Đurović, announced that she is constantly on the topic of gender equality, because it is fundamentally alive.

She added that one of the most impressive examples was the holding of local elections on October 23 last year.
"We had lists that did not legally satisfy the number of women in the domain of this famous quota, which I call a necessary evil, but it is also necessary for us. And then we have the situation of parliamentary elections where all political parties, all electoral lists essentially satisfied the form except for one in which a woman was the candidate, which unfortunately received an extremely small number of votes.
