The Constitutional Court of Montenegro adopted today by a majority of votes one appeal of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in connection with the recent parliamentary elections, so they will be repeated at one polling station in Cetinje.
Voting will be repeated at polling station no. 16, Lovcen partisan detachment II.
"The Election Commission of the Capital City of Cetinje is obliged to, in accordance with the law and the provisions of this decision, decide on calling and repeating the elections at polling station number 16, Lovcen Partisan Detachment II in the Municipality of Cetinje," the Constitutional Court said in a statement.
The remaining four appeals that were considered today were rejected by the Constitutional Court.
Three SDP appeals related to the election process in Bijelo Polje, Cetinje and Rožaje were rejected as unfounded, and the appeal of voter Ž. D. as inadmissible.
On June 17, the State Election Commission (SEC) annulled the decision of the Election Commission of the Capital City to repeat the election at polling station no. 16, where 672 voters were registered.
According to the provisional results of the elections held on June 11, the SDP was left without parliamentary status, as 8.750 voters (2,9 percent) voted for them.
That party had submitted several complaints to the municipal commissions due to the discrepancy between the number of voters who exercised their right to vote, the number of ballots and the number of coupons...
