The logo of the population census in Montenegro has been modified, and the change refers to the addition of the Albanian word "registrim" (census) to the existing logo.
Twenty days ago, the President of Tuzi Municipality and the leader of the Albanian Alternative, Nik Đeljošaj, demanded from the Government to dismiss the management of the Directorate of Statistics (Monstat) and replace them with "experts who know and have no chauvinistic motives".

He told Monstat, among other things, that the logo of the census was made "after the appearance of Njegoš's chapel".
The logo has been modified in the meantime, which Đeljošaj also announced on his Facebook account yesterday.
The census should take place from November 1 to 15.
In a statement published on its website, Monstat stated that it accepted the proposal of the Ministry of Finance as the authority that supervises the legality and effectiveness of Monstat's work, in the part of supplementing the census logo, and in accordance with the request of the president of the census commission of the municipality of Tuzi.
"The change proposal refers to the addition of the word "registrim", i.e. "census" in the Albanian language to the existing logo. In this way, we all contribute to multi-ethnic harmony and civic values in the country, all with the aim of successfully implementing the census of the population, households and apartments 2023," Monstat said.
