The URA civil movement welcomed the election of the missing members of the Judicial Council from among distinguished lawyers.
"As before, during the election of judges of the Constitutional Court, we voted for the proposed candidates because for us, the European path has no alternative," said Ana Novaković Đurović, a member of parliament from that party.
She congratulated and wished luck in their work to the newly elected members of the Judicial Council and pointed out that their election, in addition to progress in European integration, also means the possibility of achieving reforms within the judicial branch of government, "and therefore restoring citizens' trust in institutions".
She added that with today's vote, the opposition showed responsibility and an example that a consensus can be reached in the Parliament on the most important issues for our country.
"The URA will also support good and credible personnel solutions in the future. Even when we were in power, and now that we are in the opposition, there are not and will not be political calculations and interests for us when making decisions," concluded Novaković Đurović.
