Đukanović: DPS is ready to look objectively at its shortcomings and failures, young forces are a guarantee of success

The former president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Milo Đukanović congratulated Danijel Živković on his election as president of DPS, and Aleksandar Vuković Kuč, Abaz Dizdarević, Ivan Vuković and Jevto Eraković on their election as vice-presidents of that party.

Today, in the party elections, the membership of the DPS elected Danijel Živković as the president of the DPS for a full term, while Aleksandra Vuković Kuč, Abaz Dizdarević, Ivan Vuković and Jevto Eraković were elected as vice-presidents.

He wrote on the X social network that he congratulated them on receiving the trust of the membership in the first direct intra-party elections.

"DPS has confirmed its ability to be the bearer of progressive political and democratic processes even in very challenging times. The party is ready to proudly defend and affirm its historical achievements, as well as to objectively look at its shortcomings and omissions. I am convinced of the correctness and perspective of the Party's policy, which was and remained the backbone of Montenegro's state-building path, as well as the civic and Euro-Atlantic character of the country. Such a policy must win. New, young forces are the guarantee of success. Good luck," wrote Đukanović.
