Deputy of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Abaz Dizdarević pointed out at today's session of the Assembly, speaking on the topic of the agenda concerning the Law on the Limitation of Industrial Emissions, that it is more important than that "how we will politicize and instrumentalize the Police Directorate (UP), how we will take monopoly over the security system, how to divert attention from the enormous responsibility".
MP Miodrag Laković, responding to Dizdarevic, reminded that, of the three directors of the Police Administration (UP) from 2005 to 2012, two were suspected of criminal acts.
"I will also mention that in 2012 we had a director of the UP who was a high-ranking head of the DPS", Laković pointed out and reminded that in 2012 it was written in the media that "Montenegro has not had a legally elected police director for two years, even though that position is covered by Božidar Vuksanović ".
As he added, that decision was overturned twice by the Constitutional Court.
Laković also pointed out that in the DPS they "comment on what someone said at the Government and what was said in the media" because "the commitment of the PES to the rule of law bothers them".
Dizdarević, replying to Laković, said that "he is not sure how much they deal with the rule of law, given that it was established that Spajić had dual citizenship, but he said he did not".
He added that the former director of UP Zoran Brđanin was dismissed once illegally, and that "the court will probably show the second time".
Erakovic:
DPS MP Jevto Eraković referred to the situation in the security sector.
"Citizens witnessed the situation at the Government session, and it will be interesting at the Security Committee session where they will hear what preceded it," said Eraković and added that "the first associate claims that the Prime Minister committed a criminal offense and that he will file charges against him.
He asked if "even a single citizen of Montenegro has confidence in Montenegrin institutions after the situation in which four candidates for the post of UP director did not pass the polygraph and after the situation in Savnik and Andrijevica" and added that "tendential and unknown" politics are at work.
Mandic replied that "institutions are being built" and that they must do it together.
