In Ulcinj, a formal session of the Municipal Assembly (SO) began on the occasion of the Municipal Day, the first Saturday of April, which symbolizes the end of the olive harvest, the departure of sailors to the ships and the beginning of the tourist season.
In addition to the councilors, the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, President of the Municipality Omer Bajraktari, Deputy Prime Minister Nik Đeljošaj, Minister Fatmir Đeka, former Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, MPs, leaders and representatives of political parties, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of municipalities, religious communities and the civil sector attend the session. .
The session, which began with the singing of the Montenegrin national anthem, was opened by the president of the Ulcinj SO Ardijan Mavrić.
It is planned that, among other things, the SO will award "Honorary Citizen of Ulcinj" awards to educator Nadžija Alibega Bučinac, a well-known activist for women's rights, who belongs to the first generations of teachers in Montenegro and Kosovo, to publisher Fatmir Toči and posthumously to folk healer Zefa Brisković.
After the session, a carnival parade is planned, and half an hour later, an appropriate cultural and artistic program on Mala Plaža.
At 17:XNUMX p.m., the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the luxurious Otrant Reefs tourist complex on the Velika beach is scheduled.
After that, Bajraktari will host an iftar at the Otrant Hotel.
