The leader of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) Milan Knežević said at today's press conference that an agreement on organized cooperation and unified political action was signed between his party and the Free Montenegro (SCG) Vladislav Dajković.
Knežević pointed out that the two parties will participate together in the local elections in Budva and Andrijevica, but also that they expect to be the strongest list in both municipalities.
He noted that in the June parliamentary elections, those parties appeared in several lists and thereby scattered votes, and that their goal is to reach the support they had in the elections of August 30.
"I believe that the dilemma of how to act is far behind us, and that the coming time will show that only by consolidating the political scene can we get the support of people who support our views," said Knežević.
Dajković said that SCG is becoming a firm, loyal and stable partner of DNP.
"This is the birth of a new political reality in Montenegro. A strong political bloc headed by Milan Knežević is emerging, which in the coming years will be the main pillar and support of the national interests of the Serbian people in Montenegro," said Dajković.
He added that the Serbian people have no reason to be satisfied with the current political situation because "Milo left power, but some new little Milovics came to power and continued his political path".
"The Serbian language is not official, even though it is the language spoken by the overwhelming majority of citizens. Montenegro recognized Kosovo more than Albin Kurti, Hashim Thaci and Ramush Haradinaj, sanctions against Russia, but also many other issues such as postponing the census in order to hide the increase in the number of Serbian people in Montenegro is still in limbo. That is why we decided to form this alliance. We will participate in the elections in Šavnik when they are announced, but also in Andrijevica, Budva, and maybe even in Podgorica in the fall. I am sure that we will be the strongest in the capital political strength. Together we can do everything," Dajković stressed.
Asked on what basis he says that there will be elections in Podgorica, Dajković said that "even the children know that there is a serious crisis".
"I am sure that the crisis in Podgorica depends on the situation at the state level. If the agreement on the reconstruction of the Government is respected, I think that the situation will be stable not only in Podgorica, but also in all of Montenegro," said the leader of Free Montenegro.
Answering a journalist's question whether there is a possibility that some other subjects will join their coalition in Andrijevica, Knežević said that at the "recently held meeting, they sent an invitation to all lists except DPS to create a joint list".
"Since some citizens' lists are now being formed in Andrijevica, I invite the list and Mr. (Ivan) Radojević who leads it to join us. There are no longer any obstacles for him to create one big list together with our coalition, and I think that this is the expectation of the citizens Andrijevica. There is no longer a single reason that they previously cited to obstruct the formation of that broad coalition," said the leader of the DNP and added that "the people who voted for the dismissal of certain officials with the DPS are not on the list."
For the list led by the former vice-president of Andrijevica Vesko Raketić, Knežević said that "when it is formed, it will have a clear position on it".

When asked how he comments on the fact that Freedom House assessed Montenegro as a hybrid regime in transition, i.e. classified it as a "country where regular changes in the ruling elite undermine the lack of meaning of structural change over time", Knežević said that he agreed with that assessment, but and that it is obvious that "there was no complete dismantling of the heritage and heritage of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS)" which "his party insisted on since 2020".
"We cannot invoice everything to the government of Milojko Spajić, we had two governments before that. According to me, the key reason that there was no complete dismantling is that the coalition for the future of Montenegro (ZBCG) was not allowed to enter the government, to the positions of ministers, and if she was part of the executive power, it would be different," Knežević said.
He added that he expects the reconstruction based on the agreement they have with Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
He said that it should have been reached after the resignation of President Jakov Milatović from all positions in the Europe Now Movement (PES), and after the expulsion of Justice Minister Andrej Milović from the party.
He said that he would respond to the initiative of the head of the PES parliamentary group, Vasilij Čarapić, on overcoming the crisis in Šavnik, but also "to locate the culprits because there were no elections because there are at least three or four interpretations of how this crisis should be resolved".
When asked by a journalist about the "departure of Milo and the arrival of Milović", Dajković said that he did not think of a single name, but that the foreign policy remained the same, and that not a single interest of the Serbian people was fulfilled, as well as that he hoped that "Milović soon to leave the Government".

When asked by a journalist what amendments to the law on the Constitutional Court his coalition colleague Slaven Radunović (New Serbian Democracy) has withdrawn and what this means at a time when a request to amend the law on pension and disability insurance (PIO) has already been submitted, Knežević answered that he "believes that Radunović will come out with a new bill".
"We saw today the announcements of amendments to the law on PIO. I suggest that we talk, because if we are left without one or two judges, someone will say that it is our fault that we do not have a Report on the Fulfillment of Temporary Benchmarks (IBAR)," said the leader of the DNP .
