The Deputy Prime Minister for the Security Sector, Aleksa Bečić, said that Democratic Montenegro has reservations regarding the amendments to the Law on PIO.
He told TV Nova that for now he is of the opinion that he will not support this proposal.
Amendments to the Law on PIO were submitted to the Parliament by the deputies of the Europe Now Movement, Vasilije Čarapić and Darko Dragović, after the Legislative Committee found that the amendments to the Law on the Constitutional Court, which also provided for moving the limit for the retirement of judges of that court, are not in accordance with the Constitution and the legal system .
"Only the head of the Democrats' Parliamentary Club did not sign the proposal to amend the law on the Constitutional Court, which will be withdrawn. I was informed that the position of the Democrats' Parliamentary Club was discussed yesterday, based on what they have analyzed so far, they have reservations about the proposal to amend the Law on PIO and as things stand now, they will not support this proposal," said Becic.
