Bosniak Party (BS) President Ervin Ibrahimović, Member of Parliament Kenana Strujić Harbić and Izet Ćorović, Head of the Cabinet of the BS President, visited Sarajevo on the third day of Bajram.
"During their stay in Sarajevo, they met with SDA president Bakir Izetbegović, where they discussed, among other things, the political situation in the region, global political issues, the need for more serious engagement of the international community to stop the aggression on Gaza and resolve the severe humanitarian crisis, and the importance of integration states of the region in NATO and the EU", it was announced from BS.
It is added that at the invitation of the President of the People and Justice and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Dino Konaković, and on the basis of the initiative stemming from the joint iftar organized by Ibrahimović in Podgorica, the BS delegation attended a working Eid lunch, during which they discussed the need for stronger cooperation of Bosniak politicians in the region.
"At the lunch, it was stated that there is a strong need for closer and more substantive cooperation between Bosniak politicians in the region and the importance of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of all countries where Bosniaks live for the position, status and future of the Bosniak people, as well as the entire region and all other peoples living in the countries of the region ", the announcement reads.
Ibrahimović, it is added, stressed the importance of this kind of cooperation and underlined that it is very important that this form of cooperation can only be successful if all the relevant Bosniak political parties are at the same table.
"He emphasized that this kind of cooperation is completely in line with the European and Euro-Atlantic integrative process and that Bosniak political parties can give new dynamics to that process through this kind of cooperation, since they are all programmatically and actually advocating for the EU and NATO."
From BS, they state that Ibrahimović and his associates during their stay in Sarajevo also visited the association "Movement of Mothers of the Enclaves of Srebrenica and Žepa" where he spoke with Munira Subašić, Ramiza Gurdić and associates.
"The mothers of Srebrenica informed the president about the activities and plans of the association, and President Ibrahimović thanked them for everything they do to establish the truth about the genocide in Srebrenica and to establish a culture of remembrance, so that nothing similar to what happened in Srebrenica would ever happen to anyone. ", the announcement concludes.
