The Parliament will continue to achieve the results necessary for Montenegro to receive a positive Report on the Fulfillment of Interim Benchmarks (IBAR) in June, said Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić.
Mandić said this in a telephone conversation with Gert Jan Kopman, director general of the General Directorate for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations.
As reported by the Assembly, Mandić and Kopman discussed numerous topics related to obtaining a positive IBAR, starting to close negotiation chapters after that, the newly created situation in the Constitutional Court and problems related to the election of the President of the Supreme Court.
Mandić pointed out that the Parliament of Montenegro will continue to achieve the results that are necessary in order for our country to receive a positive IBAR in June this year.
"He added that he has no doubt that the Government will act in the same way," the statement said.
Kopman congratulated Mandić on the impressive results achieved by the Assembly on Montenegro's European path.
He concluded that everyone sees Montenegro as the absolute leader in the region when it comes to the process of joining the European Union.
