The URA civil movement is seeking an amendment to the Parliament's agenda for the adoption of the Law on the Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property, the party's MP Filip Adžić announced today.

"When we saw that after more than a year of waiting no one else wanted to propose a new and better legal solution, the URA again submitted to the parliamentary procedure the improved Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property. He added that the parliamentary club of the Citizens' Movement URA is requesting an amendment to the agenda of the 5th session of the spring session of the Parliament of Montenegro with proposed amendments to the Law on Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property, the so-called anti-mafia law.

"The legal solution proposed by the URA, among other things, implies that there is no time limit for examining the origin of the property and that the property can be examined from the nineties until today, the control of the acquired property will be carried out in civil proceedings and the immunity of any official cannot be protected from the examination process the origin of his property," the announcement reads.

Adžić said that he expects the support of all members of the Parliament of Montenegro who stand for an uncompromising fight against organized crime and corruption.
