At today's session, the Government of Montenegro decided to forward to the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) the documentation on the lobbying agreement that the former Government, headed by Dritan Abazović, concluded with the company Bipartizan Solution Inc. from Washington - the non-official "Vijesti" learns.

According to the knowledge of "Vijesti", none of the members of the Government who attended the session expressed their opinion when reaching the conclusion.

At the beginning of April, the government submitted to the National Council for the Fight against Corruption documentation about the agreement, which, they claim, proves that Abazović's lobbying cabinet illegally spent 350 euros.

According to the Government, there is a lack of an act that would represent the basis for concluding a contract with legal effect in relation to the Government, and the Law on Public Procurement was allegedly not complied with either.

Abazović claims that the lobbying contract exists, but that the current government "will not see it".

He claims that Montenegro was the only country without engaged lobbyists, that this contract of 350.000 is "the smallest possible" and that, when compared to countries in the region, it is "ten times less".

"Every government should have contracts like this and choose companies that they think will work best in our interests in Washington. During that period when we sided with the Alliance in the war in Ukraine, we had to have more visibility in Washington. But these are nonsense, because everything was done according to regulations. I am satisfied with what was done with that money, because we are a country that showed agility in modest conditions and our partners knew how to appreciate it," said Abazović.
