Member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Jevto Eraković said that Professor Srđa Jovanovski will be in front of the opposition at the head of the commission that will call for a tender for the development of software for checking census data.

Eraković said that one of the points of the agreement they reached with the Government was that the representatives of the opposition perform a manual count of the incoming material based on a sample of three percent, with clear statistical processing and existing parameters.

"That way, we will be able to determine about 99 percent accuracy of the data, which we think is very important."

Eraković said that they have submitted changes and additions to the legal provisions in the parliamentary procedure, the purpose of which is that MONSTAT has the right to use the necessary administrative data sources.

"In this way, Monstat will be able to access various bases of the Ministry of the Interior and thus prevent possible abuses during the census. If during the census process someone communicated some data that does not correspond to the facts, invented some data - by pairing it with data from the Ministry of Interior, it will be seen that this data is not relevant and will not be considered at all and will not enter the census process," said Eraković. .

He said that they requested changes to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, the Law on Foreigners, the Law on the Central Population Register, the Law on Residence and Residency Registers, the Law on Cooperation with the Diaspora and Expatriates, the Law on Health Care, the Law on Family Registers and the Law on Montenegrin citizenship.

He pointed out that the opposition has fulfilled its obligations regarding the census process, and that it is now up to MONSTAT to complete the final data entry and that after that the opposition representatives will control the entry by manually counting three percent of the entered data.
