Action for Human Rights (HRA) called on the Europe Now Movement (PES) to clearly state whether it supports the most massive civil society initiative for Montenegro to sponsor the United Nations (UN) Resolution on the memorialization of the genocide in Srebrenica.
HRA executive director Tea Gorjanc Prelevic told the MINA agency that they expect the Democrats to speak out as well, given that they voted for the Resolution on Srebrenica in the Montenegrin parliament.
The PES Parliamentary Club announced on Friday that it respects all the resolutions adopted in the Montenegrin Parliament that refer to the genocides committed in our region in the past, but that they do not support that, as they said, the responsibility of any individual is imputed to any people. .

HRA sees the announcement of the PES parliamentary group as a political avoidance of a concrete answer to a simple question: whether or not they are in favor of co-sponsoring the UN Resolution on Srebrenica.
HRA said that PES opposes something that is not mentioned at all in the UN Resolution - that "due to the responsibility of any individual, responsibility is imputed to any nation".
HRA announced that the co-sponsorship initiative was signed by 92 non-governmental organizations and 260 prominent citizens, and that the number of signatories is constantly growing.
