We note with regret that the Board of Commissioners of the Municipality of Andrijevica, when voting on the decision on the budget of the Municipality of Andrijevica for 2024, did not adopt the original budget that was in the procedure and that received the approval of the Ministry of Finance and passed the legal procedure, but in its own way the Board assumed the role of an interpreter in regarding the development of the municipality of Andrijevica and adopted the budget with seven amendments and thereby halted the capital budget, reducing a million euros in the capital part of the budget from the funds of economic citizenship, which will ultimately slow down the further development of our municipality, announced tonight the councilors of Democratic Montenegro in the Municipal Assembly (SO). "We are not aware of the motives for this, so we ask that the Ministry of Public Administration and the Government of Montenegro be determined according to the adopted act, because we believe that there has been a gross violation of budget positions, non-compliance with the Law on the Budget on Fiscal Responsibility, as well as violations of the Law on Financing of Local Self-Government and We note that from the technical side this budget is not sustainable and it is impossible to implement it in the procedure. We do not understand the motive and intention of punishing the citizens of Andrijevica. adoption of the budget that passed the legal procedure and received a positive opinion from the Ministry of Finance. If the members of the Board of Commissioners have accepted their role to settle accounts with the citizens and the management of Andrijevica and thus prevent the further development of the municipality, we ask the competent minister of public administration to declare the mentioned circumstances, and as soon as they understand what their delegated committee did contrary to the law, we ask that the Committee be dissolved," states the statement of the Democratic councilor in the Andrijevica Municipal Council, which was submitted by Democratic Montenegro.
Supporters of the Democrats said that the citizens of Andrijevica cannot and must not be held hostage by bad policies and measures to curb arbitrariness and lawlessness.
The Board of Commissioners of the Municipality of Andrijevica adopted a decision on the budget of that local self-government for this year.
As stated in the announcement, the Board of Commissioners of the Municipality of Andrijevica, at the session held on Thursday and Friday, through the consideration and adoption of eight items on the agenda of the second session, provided conditions for the smooth operation and functioning of all organs and services of the Municipality of Andrijevica, its public institutions and enterprises , and created the conditions for holding local elections scheduled for June 2.
