The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) again called on the Democrats to explain to the citizens of Bar "why they are destroying their future and the city's future".
"Although very unskillfully and manipulatively, through their humorous announcements and the publications of their Bar weekly, they are trying to divert the public's attention from very important topics, such as the Spatial Plan of Montenegro and the further development of our city, at least the Democrats must face the fact that their actions and actions, they openly support the destruction of the city through support for the construction of a gas power plant, through support for the destruction of as many as eight Crmnik villages and their cultural and historical monuments, and support for the opening of new quarries, which today they claim represent the basis for development and the creation of new jobs," she said. DPS councilor in Bar Andrea Marstjepović.
"The political hypocrisy of this group is reflected in the fact that, as a party of 'political spineless' as called not only by us, but also by their coalition partners in the state government, today wholeheartedly supports all these projects, showing that their political activity is in relation to the issue the exploration of oil and gas, cypress trees and quarries was just a manipulation of citizens who were sincerely concerned about these issues, and who were used by this, but also by other parties and individuals, solely for the sake of political interests and citizens, and that is why we are exposing your political activities, respected fellow councilors and deputies from the Bar. Isn't it incorrect that you are politicizing these issues, changing theses in your reactions and dealing with trivial matters," she added.
He says that the Democrats should answer to the citizens of Bar why they are today supporting projects that "destroy our future and the future of our children".
"Which is why you will not and must not say that the Spatial Plan of Montenegro should shift the route of the highway at least a little, that the eight villages of Crmnik should not be destroyed, but that the highway should be the basis for their further development. Answer the citizens of Bar whether the gas power plant for you, it represents the further development of the Port of Bar, which today under your leadership has unfortunately reached the bottom like never before in its history. Answer the citizens of Bar whether the quarries are the basis for creating jobs, even though four years ago you called Bar a 'quarry city'." Marstjepović said.
He reminds that they told the Democrats at the session of the Municipal Assembly that "witty, frivolous and malicious political performances regarding leadership and leadership in local government" will not succeed in achieving their goal.
"The local government in Bar should be an example of successful functioning, seriousness in work, transparency and protection of the city's interests to you and your partners, if you have them at all. That is why your attempts at political destruction will not succeed and we will not allow political chaos to reign in Bar which you managed to introduce through your actions in Budva, Tivat, Andrijevica, other cities where you are in power and in the entire country," said the member of the DPs councilor.
When it comes to leadership, as she said, "it's time" for the Democrats to inform their members, party bodies, the general secretary and party leaders that the party and the opposition in the Bar have got a new leader, "who really represents you in the capacity of a real leader, before sessions of the Municipal Assembly gathers in its party premises, without the right to delay and issues political guidelines and orders that you must servilely fulfill".
"So, we want to exclusively inform the public that just after six years of the Democrats and the opposition in the Bar, after Spajić and Mandić became their heads in the state government, Radomir Novaković Cakan has been in the Bar since almost that time.
