Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajić will meet today in Berlin with German Chancellor Olaf Solac.
As previously announced by the Government, today, in addition to Solac, Spajić will speak with representatives of the Eastern Board of German Economy, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other businessmen.
It is reported that in the afternoon Spajić will participate in a debate organized by the German Association for Foreign Policy.
Spajić is on a five-day visit to Germany, and so far he has spoken with the special envoy for the Western Balkans, Manuel Saracin, the Federal Minister of Economy, Robert Habek, as well as representatives of the Bundestag.
In the platform for Spajić's visit to Germany, it is stated that meetings with German colleagues are an opportunity to express gratitude for the support that that country unequivocally provides to the development path of Montenegro, both in terms of achieving foreign policy goals and in terms of economic and investment development.
"The official visit also represents a good opportunity to present the results that Montenegro has achieved in the past period, which result from fulfilling the obligations from the European agenda," the document says.
It is stated that the visit is an opportunity for Spajić to remind that the reform processes within the European Union must go in parallel with the enlargement policy and that Montenegro, as the most advanced country in the negotiation process, is ready to step forward on the European path.
