As part of the all-day Vrmac cleaning campaign that took place on Sunday, organized by the municipalities of Tivat and Kotor and the NGO "Our Action", 10m3 of different waste was collected.
Members of the Protection Service of the Municipality of Tivat, Voluntary Fire Brigades "Tivat" and "Boka" from Tivat, Mountaineering Club "Vjeverica" from Kotor, Triathlon Clubs "Kotor" and "Herceg Novi", International School Knightsbridge International Montenegro took part in the action. the support of Porto Montenegro, the Tivat Tourist Organization and the utility companies of Kotor and Tivat.
Celebrating Earth Day, participants of the action cleaned fire roads and hiking trails, but also collected waste on the slopes of both the Tivat and Kotor sides of the Vrmac hill.
About 60 volunteers took part in the action, cleaning the paths Pod Kuk-Gornja Lastva, Lepetane-Orašje and Plavda-Orašje, as well as the paths from Škaljar to the top of Vrmac.
This activity, initiated by the NGO "Naša akcija", is part of the program "Nature for the mental and physical health of young people", supported by the "European Endowment for Democracy".
