The spatial plan is the most important document after the Constitution of Montenegro, which is the general basis of the organization and arrangement of space in our country, said the Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, Ratko Mitrović.
The Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism announced that the first consultative meeting was held today regarding the preparation of the Spatial Plan Concept of Montenegro, in the area of traffic.
The press release added that two key conclusions from the meeting were "that all variant solutions should be considered during the development of the Concept, and that a multi-criteria analysis should be used to arrive at precise and final solutions that will be clearly defined in the Draft Spatial Plan, with an emphasis on environmental protection and cultural heritage, as well as to align priorities with neighboring countries and to specify the connection points of the transport infrastructure".
"We are starting today with the presentation of the Concept of the Spatial Plan of Montenegro from the area of traffic infrastructure, which is like the blood flow in the body, because the development of the road infrastructure depends on the demographic development, the development of tourism and industry," said Mitrović.
He added that during the analysis and selection of alternative solutions, the municipalities that are clearly familiar with the issues at the local level are particularly consulted and that these solutions are harmonized with local development goals, especially when it comes to tourism.
The announcement states that the presentation of the PPCG concept in the field of traffic was held by Svetlana Jovanović as the manager of the development of the Spatial Plan of Montenegro.
She stated that the Spatial Plan is a prerequisite and the basis of economic and social development.
"The spatial plan determines the national goals, ambitions and vision of spatial development, and in the field of transport infrastructure we strive to create a European developed transport network. In this regard, it really means the support and cooperation of the institutions of the system during the entire process of creating the Plan", said Jovanović.
The announcement states that the meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Capital Investments, the Traffic Administration, Monteput, the Chamber of Engineers, representatives of the Spatial Plan Processor, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism.
"After the meeting on the topic of transport infrastructure, a meeting on the topic of energy will be held this week, and in the coming period, a series of presentations will continue on other key topics and areas for the development of the Plan," the announcement concludes.
