Tomorrow, the Committee for Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning will discuss the amendments of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism (MORT) to the Draft Law on Spatial Planning and Building Construction, after the Assembly submits them to the members of that body.

Today, MORT submitted amendments to the Assembly, which were agreed upon by the deputies of the Liberal Party (LP) and the Bosniak Party (BS), while they are still unacceptable to the deputies of the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI) and the Albanian Coalition - FORCA. If one of the mentioned two parties supports the mentioned text, it will be in the form of a Law after the Assembly votes on it.

At the collegium of parliamentary clubs, it was agreed that the MORT, headed by Pavle Radulović, would submit the amendments to the agreed parts, in order to speed up the process. However, even that was not enough because the amendments did not arrive in time for the Board to discuss them at 15 pm.

The novelty, for which BS and LP supported the law, is the introduction of urban planning projects, which will be adopted by local governments before the main spatial plan, thereby expanding the authority of municipalities. For the deputies of the mentioned parties, those changes were enough to decentralize the planning system, while HGI and FORCA believe that municipalities should also decide when adopting a general spatial plan.
