The Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism Ana Novaković Đurović announced that the concept of the Spatial Plan of Montenegro 2020/2040 has been completed. She invited experts and the general public to participate in the consultation, in order to create one of the most important documents for the state.

"After the Audit Council approved the Spatial Plan Concept, in accordance with the procedures, this document is available to the public. The Ministry invites the public to actively participate in the next 40 days through the consultation process and contribute with comments and suggestions to the best possible quality of the document," it is stated in announcement.

The spatial plan is adopted for a period of 20 years. The document contains a general development vision and goals, establishes starting points and principles of organization, arrangement and use of space, with the use of international conventions on spatial development, defines the position and directions of development in relation to the environment.

"We have the opportunity to define the strategic directions of development, arrangement and use of space in the country for the next two decades in a broad consultative process. I expect all actors in society to get involved and take advantage of the opportunity to change our attitude towards our most important resource," said the minister.
