The Municipal Assembly of Bar adopted the Decision on the declaration of the category, boundaries, status and regime of protection in the Nature Monument "Museum Park on Topolica in Bar", as an area which, due to its specific characteristics and location, represents the visual recognition of Topolica and the potential in the rich and diverse tourist offer of Bar .
"By classifying this area as a category III nature monument, protection of the fundamental values of natural assets, implementation of measures to protect nationally and internationally significant species in the terrestrial part of the protected area, improvement of biological and ecosystem diversity, as well as prevention of harmful actions that may threaten special or significant components of biodiversity are ensured ", the announcement states.
As they state, through the adoption of this Decision, the local administration has created preconditions for numerous activities that will enable the preservation and revitalization of important plant species, the prescribed arrangement of the park area and the valorization of all the potential of this recognizable area, where there are about 460 trees of plant species, of which are as many as 16 autochthonous and 20 allochthonous and which, in addition to the aesthetic, have an important cultural, historical and scientific function.
