The Citizens' Initiative (GI) "Save Sinjajevina" organized a protest today in Lipovo and in front of the barracks in Kolašin due to military activities on that mountain. They are protesting, as they said, because of the violation of the promise that Sinjajevina will not be a military training ground and that there will be no military activities there.
"Despite numerous promises that Sinjajevina will not be a training ground, among other things, and Dritan Abazović's promise from 15 days ago that there will be no activities on that mountain, these days a military exercise is taking place with numerous soldiers from various NATO countries. We are gathering to show that we will not allow a military training ground and express our disagreement," the protest announced.
GI "Save Sinjajevina" announces that they will continue the protests. As they say, they fear that the current activities on that mountain are "preparation for an exercise in May when heavy weapons are expected".
