With ukleva and local wine, the jubilee 25th festival of ukleva and wine in Virpazar was officially opened.
Mediabiro.tv reports that 29 exhibitors from all sub-regions of Montenegro are participating in the festival, and this year's event has a competitive character.
Opening this year's festival, Bar Municipality President Dušan Raičević said that the Festival of Wine and Ukleve is the longest-lasting event in the territory of Bar Municipality.
"From the local administration level, we will continue to support all those activities that concern the improvement of agricultural production. Through subsidy measures from the municipal budget, close to 300.000 euros have been placed in the past four years," Raičević said.
Based on the wine tasting, gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded. All exhibitors have agricultural holdings registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and wineries that have a license to sell wine.
"This year, too, we have good wines, as was the case in all previous years. We have 29 exhibitors and a rich cultural and artistic program has been prepared", said Tomislav Ukšanović, one of the organizers of the event.
Director of TO Bar Nikoleta Nikčević said that the Festival of Wine and Wine is important for the promotion of the tourist offer of Lake Skadar.
"We are glad that year after year this manifestation attracts an increasing number of visitors. The organizers ensured that 200 liters of wine and about 300 kilograms of wine were distributed free of charge," said Nikčević.
Visitors to the festival today and tomorrow can expect a rich cultural and artistic entertainment program - on the first day of the festival, guests were entertained by KUD "JEDINSTVO", Danijel Alibabić, Nina Žižić and Nikola Bušković.
The wine and wine festival is traditionally organized by the Crmnica Municipality, the Association of Winemakers and Vineyards "Crmnički vranac" and the NGO "Dani Skadarski Jezera", under the auspices of the Municipality of Bar and the Tourism Organization of Bar. AD "Plantaže" and the National Parks of Montenegro also provided support.
