The Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism will build artificial embankments as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by erosion on Ada Bojana, the government decided.

As announced by the Government, at today's session information was adopted on the current situation and the need to implement short-term measures for the construction of artificial embankments - dunes in order to prevent damage to the property of HTP Ulcinjska Riviera caused by erosion on Ada Bojana and to ensure conditions for the next tourist season.

The information states that it is necessary to re-install the artificial - temporary dune, given that the experience of carrying out these works during the previous two years indicates the effectiveness of protection during the winter period, which would protect the buildings on the first line from the sea from erosion.

"To this end, the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism is tasked with implementing the project of construction of artificial dunes, i.e. embankments, as a temporary seasonal measure for the protection of the beach on Ada Bojana, from its own budget, in the amount of 45 thousand EUR, as soon as possible. ", says the statement.

The government has adopted a crisis management plan in the event of African swine fever with the aim of reducing the risk and danger of the disease.

The Government said that the plan was adopted to prevent the introduction of the virus and create conditions for the smooth circulation of pigs and pork products.

It is added that the reasons for the adoption of the plan stemmed from the need to create a control strategy and measures that will be applied, and are established by the regulations of Montenegro and are fully in line with the regulations and the strategy of eradicating African swine fever in the European Union.

"Additionally, this disease is present in neighboring countries - Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Kosovo, which represents an increased risk and danger of its occurrence in Montenegro," the announcement states.

It is added that the crisis plan will contribute to the timely detection of the disease and the quick reaction of the competent authorities in order to prevent, spread and eradicate the disease, in order to preserve livestock and reduce serious social and economic negative consequences for the country and the region.

At the Government session, information on the signing of the Agreement on the recognition of professional qualifications of general care nurses, doctors of veterinary medicine, pharmacists and midwives in the context of the Agreement on Free Trade in Central Europe was adopted and the text of the Agreement was accepted, which will be signed at the Berlin Process Leaders' Summit on October 16 in Tirana.

"The goal of signing this Agreement is to strengthen regional cooperation through the possibility of integrating professionals on the labor market in the region based on the principle of automatic recognition of professions regulated by the Agreement, strengthening good neighborly relations, better economic integration and infrastructure connectivity," the announcement says.

It is added that the conclusion of that international act confirms Montenegro's commitment to improving regional cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans, but also further progress in negotiations with the EU within Chapter Three - the right to establish a company and the freedom to provide services.

The government also adopted information on the conclusion of the implementation agreement between the defense ministries of Slovenia and Montenegro on cooperation in the field of military training based on the joint procurement of dynamic simulators for JLTV 4x4 vehicles with integrated high-resolution weapon stations and accepted the text of the Agreement.

"In the discussion, it was pointed out that with the use of simulators, training costs would be significantly reduced, that is, 80 to 90 percent of the training would be realized in this way, while the completion of the training itself, i.e. 10 to 20 percent, required the spending of budget funds", the announcement states.

The Government said that the total costs for the acquisition of two dynamic simulators, including documentation and training, amount to two million EUR.

"The agreement authorizes the Ministry of Defense of Slovenia to procure simulators on behalf and at the expense of the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro," said the Government.
