Residents of Crmnica and Virpazar submitted a report to the construction inspection of the Municipality of Bar regarding the demolition of the premises of the former pharmacy for the construction of new apartments, as they stated, without a building permit.
In the report, which they submitted to "Vijesti", they asked the authorities to investigate the legality of the demolition of the former pharmacy.
"The 'Galenika' pharmacy is located in a joint building with the Virpazar clinic, it has a common entrance for patients, parking for employees of the clinic, emergency medical services and patients. The construction of an apartment on the site of a pharmacy will interfere with the operation of the clinic and is not in accordance with international sanitary standards for health care institutions," the complaint against the NGO states.
The locals of Virpazar and Crmnica have not had a pharmacy for five years, and on this occasion they have repeatedly addressed the authorities and the Ministry of Health.
"About 1.200 people of different ages live in the Crmnica region, but most of them are elderly patients with various chronic diseases. In the summer, the population increases due to the return of patients from Podgorica and Bar to their homes. Virpazar is also a tourist center, which is visited by a large number of tourists from different countries every day during the season. All these people need medicines, first aid supplies, and personal hygiene supplies. Earlier, there was a pharmacy in Virpazar and everyone was satisfied", according to a letter sent to the relevant ministry by dozens of Crmni residents last month.
