All conditions have been met to terminate the contract with the concessionaire for the lead and zinc mine in Mojkovac without any damage to the state, said civil activist Aleksandar Dragićević.
In a post on Facebook, he said that this documentation will be on the agenda of the Government session today.
Television Vijesti announced yesterday that the Minister of Energy and Mining Saša Mujović will request today at the Government session to terminate the contract with the company "Tara Resources" on the opening of the Brskovo mine in Mojkovac.
Dragićević pointed out that it is not possible to continue the lawsuit because there is no legal basis to even obtain the documentation, "all if the construction by the citizens would be allowed".
"Furthermore, the concessionaire will have to pay guarantees to the state because he violated the contract. We have been waiting for a long time for the state to have a legal mechanism in its hands, all the documentation, responsible people that the investor cannot buy - for this harmful contract to be terminated without the same investors being able to receive compensation tomorrow. Even UNESCO had to speak out because the authorities did not do their job," the announcement states.
"After today, there is no going back and there are no more rules. There will certainly be no mines - the only question is whether it will be done today and in accordance with the laws of this country, or whether those who are not squeamish about investors' money will continue to work to the detriment of the state and its citizens and enter into a conflict from which they will come out as losers. That it ends today and that we never again have a debate because of a handful of euros: ecology or oncology," concluded Dragićević.

"Vijesti" announced today that the officials of the Environmental Protection Agency said that the overall situation at the flotation site of the former Brskovo mine in Mojkovac is worse than could be assumed.
The officials explain that these are the first impressions after, on official duty, they collected preliminary information and facts in the field, as part of the implementation of the procedure for determining responsibility for potential damage to the environment.
