The rejection of Montenegro Petrol's appeal by the Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development is a confirmation of the correctness of the decisions and activities taken by the previous government to suppress the exploitation of gravel in the Morača river bed, said the political director of the Citizens' Movement URA Ana Novaković Đurović.
She added that this construction company "for decades, by exploiting gravel, devastated the bed of the Morača river and reduced the yield" of the Boljesestra water source, "and at the same time gained millions in income from such illegal activities."

Novaković Đurović said that the previous government, in which she was a minister, resolutely launched activities to suppress exploitation, made a decision to demolish illegal buildings and thus "directly increased the yield of water sources by almost five times and enabled regular water supply on the Montenegrin coast last year ".
"Also, we have started activities to rehabilitate the Morača riverbed in cooperation with the Regional Waterworks," Novaković Đurović added.
"I believe that the further course of proceedings in connection with the company Montenegro petrol will also confirm that during the term of the 43rd Government, we worked in the public interest and initiated the most important processes in this area, which now only need to be continued by the 44th Government. And the only fair outcome of this procedure would be to charge the state for the damage caused by the illegal exploiter," concludes Novaković Đurović.
