From the beginning, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (MRSS) has been absolutely committed to the issue of the family from Bar, whose members perished in the fire, and other families - temporary accommodation has been provided in part of its competences and in the fastest possible time, and they are fully open in cooperation with all competent authorities. institutions to find a permanent solution in this case.
This was told to "Vijesti" from that ministry after the families whose members were killed in the fire in February returned to Bar after spending almost a month in the state resort on Ivan's beds. Some of them sleep on the street, some in vans, and the rest in dilapidated shacks and makeshift homes in Šušanj. They claim that the system has failed them, and they are demanding a permanent solution to the housing issue from the authorities.
"MRSS, headed by the minister Naidom Nišić, invested maximum capacity in that direction and complied with everything that was primarily agreed upon at the meetings - provision of temporary accommodation for persons affected by the fire, as well as all other forms of assistance that are necessary, which was resolved", they said in the answers to the questions " News".
According to them, the accommodation in the resort on Ivan's beds is temporary, until a permanent solution is found for these persons with the cooperation of all relevant institutions.
They emphasized that a permanent solution to the problem of accommodation is a complex issue that involves not only the activity and competence of the Ministry of Social Affairs, but also other competent institutions, as well as the support of international organizations.
"To that end, Minister Nišić will meet with the Commissioner of the UN High Commission, Mr. Jean-Yves Bouchard, in order to further consider the possibilities for help that could eventually arrive from their side," they said.
They willingly left Ivan's troughs
The family and their relatives, as they said, were provided by MRSS with everything up to a permanent solution, but the users, during their visit on March 14, informed employees from both departments that on the same day they would all voluntarily leave the resort.
They pointed out that there was no initiative from the employees of MRSS at any time, that is, there was no influence on the users to make this decision to leave the accommodation, because their goal is precisely that they are adequately taken care of.
Additionally, last Thursday, representatives of the families signed declarations that they voluntarily leave the camp at Ivan's Corrida. During the conversation, they stated that they had no objections to the accommodation conditions, as well as to the staff employed at the resort, said the relevant ministry.
"MRSS indicates that, regardless of the maximum commitment and cooperation in practical solutions to solve the housing issue for families, the fact is that this is a problem that has lasted for more than two decades, and that due to its complexity, it is not realistically possible to solve it in a short period of time" , they pointed out.
They reminded that at the meeting in the premises of the Ministry on February 16 this year, on behalf of this department, in addition to the minister, there were also employees who deal with the issues of the Roma and Egyptian population.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Roma Council, the Municipality of Bar, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, the Red Cross, the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, representatives of the NGO sector, all with the aim of more effective action and more adequate resolution of the situation in which the locals found themselves. settlements under Volujicom.
The interlocutors of "Vijesti" in an earlier article about the return of Roma families to Bar claimed that the public must be informed about what was agreed upon at the meeting that took place after those families went to Ivan's beds.
"It was noted once again that the topic of the meeting was primarily the provision of temporary accommodation for people affected by the fire, as well as all other forms of assistance that are necessary in the coming period. "After the agreement that the family will be temporarily accommodated in a resort on Ivan's beds, we opened a discussion on the best way to resolve permanent accommodation for these families", answered the MRSS.
They emphasized that there were daily visits to families in temporary accommodation by the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as other relevant institutions.
On the basis of what has been done, MRSS concludes that it has made maximum efforts and capacities to help families and to provide everything necessary.
"Also, the mobile team of the General Hospital in Cetinje, on several occasions, visited families and stayed at the resort, in order to provide adequate medical assistance. In addition, employees of the resort, if necessary, took users for whom they asked for help to the General Hospital in Cetinje in order to provide them with health services," they reminded.
MRSS provided the family with transportation from Ivan's Koritas to Bar, and back to the resort, in order to enable them to commemorate the fallen family members, as the institution claims.
As they state, the Municipality of Bar informed them that it has decided the amount of 12.000 euros to help the family, which was directly affected by the fire and in which four people lost their lives.
"Given that the members of the family, as stated by the Municipality of Bar, do not have a settled legal status, this aid was paid to the Roma Council, which executes the payment of funds to the family," they explained.
On February 17 of this year, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare found a place to accommodate their relatives, a total of 37 of whom lived in the settlement, in addition to the families that were directly affected by the fire, which numbered 18 members in total Under Volujica, as well as the family that lived in the Šušanj settlement, with a total of 27 members. According to them, they did all this in accordance with the request of the family, which was directly affected by the fire.
On the specified day, MRSS provided transportation for all family members from Bar to the resort on Ivan's Korite.

For the youngest, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, school and educational supplies were already provided in the first days. They added that the MRSS security guards were present 24 hours a day at the resort on Ivan's beds in order to enable the residents to respect the house rules.
Šalaj believes that the institutions will find a solution
"Vijesti" wrote on Friday about the Roma families who returned to Bar on their own initiative and about the conditions in which they currently live - a van and dilapidated barracks. The Municipality of Bar said that one family is housed in an apartment and the other is renting a house.

The Roma Council did not respond to the calls of "Vijesti" last Thursday, and after the published text, Šalaj announced himself via social networks and said that the Roma Council wants to inform the public that funds have been allocated by the Municipality of Bar to help the families of those killed in the fire.
"In the premises of the Roma Council, the president of the Roma Council handed over funds in the amount of 12.000 euros for the removal of the consequences of extraordinary circumstances, the fire of prefabricated buildings near Volujica. The funds have been allocated from the permanent budget reserve of the Municipality of Bar for the year 2024 and that is to help families," they announced.
Given that the families do not have a settled and regulated legal status in Montenegro, as they stated, for that reason it was proposed that the mentioned funds be paid to the Roma Council of Montenegro.
"We want to emphasize that we are in continuous communication with the family members of those killed in the fire near Volujice, who returned to Bar on their own initiative, this fact can be confirmed by the mentioned family members," they pointed out.
According to them, the Roma Council provides all the relevant information that we obtain in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the Municipality of Bar and all other relevant entities in order to solve this problem as effectively and qualitatively as possible.
In the statement signed by Šalaj, it is written that they are aware that the problem of housing is one of the problems that the Roma community constantly faces, but they hope and believe that the relevant institutions will show all their willingness to act together.
They announced a protest in front of the Municipality of Bar
Members of Roma families who stayed in Cetinje previously told "Vijesta" that they will protest in front of the Bar Municipality building on Friday. That protest was not held, however, because, as they said, they want to wait for everyone to return from Ivan's beds, so they will gather in front of the local administration on Saturday.
Yesterday, however, they decided to move the protest to Monday at eight o'clock. As they said, they are asking the authorities to solve their housing issue, and there is only one condition - a roof over their heads.
